Stephanie graduated from Bath Spa University with a first class degree in music in 2009. She specialised in voice but also played the violin, piano, harpsichord, viol and recorder during her time there. She was the president of the Early Music Society and was involved in a variety of ensembles, including the Georgian Band, Viol Consort and the Recorder Consort. She had many solo appearances as a singer in Bath, as Pamina in The Magic Flute, as the soprano soloist in the Monteverdi Vespers at Bath Abbey, and winning the vocal class of The Midsomerset Festival in 2009.
Her musical career began very early on, as a chorister in the St Cecilia Singers in Bury St Edmunds under the guidance of Harrison Oxley. She gained music scholarships both to Moreton Hall Preparatory School, and to the King's School, Ely. She achieved ABRSM grade 8 in voice and violin at school as well as grade 7 piano. She has worked with various choirs and orchestras both at school and university, including the Chapel Choir at King's Ely, St Salvator's Chapel Choir at St Andrews, the Abbot Consort in Bury St Edmunds and the Bath Camerata. She was under the expert vocal guidance of Rosa Mannion near Bath and has since moved back to Bury St Edmunds where she continues to perform. She is currently home educating her daughter, Amelia, who is already very enthusiastic about music. She teaches peripatetic music at Moreton Hall Preparatory School, where she has recently had successful candidates passing Grade 7 violin and Grade 5 singing with Merit. She has accompanied all her own pupils and several other students in their exams, in concerts and in competitions.
